Las Cruces Catering is a locally owned catering company in Las Cruces, New Mexico, cooking Italian, Mexican, American, Greek, and Asian menus from scratch for weddings, corporate events, and family gatherings. We designed and built las-cruces-catering.com from the ground up.
The build follows the same engineering standard as every site we ship: custom-coded, server-rendered React exported to static HTML on AWS, Caterer and LocalBusiness schema, an llms.txt file for AI assistants, and Site2CRM lead capture wired in from day one.
As a new business, it launched with the hardest handicap in local search: a single Google review, against established caterers with over a hundred reviews and a restaurant with more than 2,700.
The Challenge
Review count is the one local ranking signal a new business cannot rush. The competition had years of accumulated reviews and long-standing profiles. Las Cruces Catering had one review and a brand-new domain.
The classic advice is to wait and grind it out. We took the other route: win the surfaces that reward structure and clarity instead of tenure. Technical SEO, entity data, and AI readability do not care how long you have been in business.
The bet was that Google's AI answers, which read websites directly instead of just counting reviews, would recognize a clearly described business faster than the traditional rankings ever could.
The Solution
Custom static build
Server-rendered React exported to static HTML on AWS Amplify. No page builder, no plugin bloat. The full page content lives in the HTML itself, so search engines and AI crawlers read it without executing JavaScript.
Caterer schema + llms.txt
Caterer and LocalBusiness schema describe the cuisines, service area, and event types in machine-readable form, and an llms.txt file gives ChatGPT, Claude, and Google's AI a clean summary to work from.
Copy written to be quoted
Every page states plainly what the business does: which cuisines, which events, cooked from scratch by an experienced chef. That clarity is exactly what an AI answer lifts when it describes a business.
Site2CRM lead capture
Quote requests flow straight into the CRM the moment they arrive, so no inquiry sits forgotten in an inbox while the client is choosing a caterer.
